Perfectly exposed image, sharp throughout! The jagged edges give impact, and the black background makes the flower stand out. |

Hi Donna, this is a nicely composed image of running water. And the static rocks are very sharp considering that it was a 25sec exposure. However, I have to agree with Meredith, Doug and Rich that I think there should be (a bit) more detail in the flowing water, particularly at lower left to add texture and definition. If you take a range of exposures, you could have varied levels of detail to choose from. |

Meredith, this is a good attempt at capturing the spines and raindrop patterns on the aloe. However, the aloe leaves spread out in all directions, and some of the leaves are blurry due to inadequate depth of field. Unfortunately, f/6.4 is not enough to get all areas sharp, but with a tripod (and lack of movement from wind!) you could greatly increase depth of field and image sharpness. |

Your image conveys the scale and size of the multilevel condo interior, and I don't mind the vertical converging (V-shaped) perspective lines. However, the image is crooked horizontally and needs straightening. Also, as Meredith and Donna have alluded to, it lacks a center of focus. Perhaps cropping in and down towards the blue wall near ground level to make it more prominent would help here. |
