10 Feb 23 Comment Great capture - your patience was rewarded! Lighting on the egret, especially beak and eyes, is nearly perfect. However, I agree that the background is distracting. In addition to blurring, you might try basic toning down of the background (with the Burn Tool in Photoshop), or some combination of the two. This image has potential! Feb 19th

10 Feb 23 Comment Though I haven't seen the original, I feel this image is a significant improvement over it. The grass helps to remove any distracting background. However, I agree that the grass needs better blending in with the area around Elmo's feet. Also, the ball appears blurry compared to the grass blades next to it; if possible, try selectively sharpening it. Feb 19th
10 Feb 23 Comment With the additional editing done as described above, this is a potentially award-winning image as it stands! The important factor is that the main subject, the bee, is sharp and with its yellow color stands out from the background. However, you might try further possible enhancements. The flower tips at upper right are bright and out of focus. Try cropping down to remove them and create more of a letterbox format. Also, you might try global burning-in of the background to further tone it down and highlight the bee. Overall, nicely done! Feb 19th
10 Feb 23 Comment This is a sunset pic with vibrant colors behind the strong silhouette of a thatched-roof lookout. It is an impactful image. However, it should be cropped in from the left and up from the bottom (to remove the red window). This cropping will strengthen the overall composition. Feb 19th
