A unique image created with an unusual lens! Its general symmetry and circular border remind me of a view through a kaleidoscope. Yet it retains the basic features of the flower. Well-done! |

Great use of selective focus here with the shallow DOF! The viewer's attention is drawn to the sharp petal at center. The background is also nicely muted and non-distracting. However, there is "noise" in portions of the background (but not in the flower), which seems to arise from abrupt transitions in pixel brightness from darker to lighter green. You can try reducing this noise using the Adjustment Brush in Lightroom. |

This image of a perched hawk is almost perfectly posed! The hawk's head is at an angle, which puts a spark in the eye and dramatic lighting on the beak. However, the perch and bird's chest feathers are somewhat overexposed. Try selectively toning these areas down or even reducing overall image exposure by 1/2 stop. |
