Great capture of an active creature with lots of detail in hair and fur! Good job with controlling background distractions. With the otter's head turned to the right, you can see waterdrops on his whiskers which stand out against the dark background. |

This compelling image is exquisitely sharp where it counts - in the flower petals all along the periphery of the blossom. The lighting brings out texture in the petals and the colors pop against the green background. If I were to be EXTREMELY picky (and after gazing at the image for over a minute), I do notice that a few petal edges in dead center are soft. But this can easily be remedied by simply increasing your depth of field up from 5.6. Otherwise, well done! |

A good attempt at lensbaby macrophotography! I actually find the center of the flower to be sharp enough. However, my eye is drawn away by the bright, blurry cream-colored area just to the left of the flower center. Cloning it out or toning it down may well reduce its distracting effect. |

These birds truly cooperated with you in making this image! They are all well-spaced but still in different interesting poses. The panoramic format is perfectly suited for this group subject and you have completely eliminated any background distractions (a constant problem with my outdoor bird scenes). You might try increasing contrast a bit, but this image is perfect as is. |

This is what makes photography so worthwhile! It can be full of happy surprises: photo ops that suddenly appear in front of you. And if you happen to have your camera with you, it can make your day! This image has good perspective with high contrast to bring out subject detail, and is sharp throughout. |

A compelling shot of the Tetons ringed with clouds! Colors are vibrant and the reflection adds to the scene. I agree with Donna about cropping out the distracting bushes at lower right. You might also try shooting similar mountain scenes in a horizontal format, which would reveal more of the cloud and mountainside for this image. |
