10 Feb 21 Comment It definitely makes me think of spring! The tulip colors are vivid and well-mixed together. I agree with Donna that the image should be cropped from the right to remove the green area without flowers. Feb 26th
10 Feb 21 Comment Doug, I definitely prefer the second image. In the first image, because the flower is cut off, I find that it distracts from the intricate stem and leaves below. However, the ENTIRE flower plus stem is compelling, because it hangs together as a single unified subject. And at high resolution the focus stacking really makes it shine. Feb 26th
10 Feb 21 Comment Well done composite with a relevant theme! It almost looks like it was done with a 3D graphics program. Hand and globe are well-positioned in the scene, and all elements are well-lit. About the halo around the rocks at lower left: The portion below, near the water, looks natural, like spray from crashing waves. But the halo on the rock peak above looks less so.
I love doing similar stuff with Photoshop and online 3D freeware such as blender, DAZ Studio and Bryce. These 3D programs have large learning curves but awesome power, and allow you to mix in your own photographic content.
