I like the lighting and interplay of colors in this image. The yellow hues of the sunset on the breast of the upstretched swan contrast with the blues of the darkening sky on the swan's backside. The reeds provide context and depth in the scene. I also agree with David that the horizontal line just below the swan's head should be toned down. Overall, tho, nicely done!! |

The colors are vibrant, and the stacking has brought out the texture in all parts of the flower. I agree that the image needs a border to separate it from the webpage background. I have never photographed dried flowers, but I am now eager to try! |

Great flower shot! I do think the green background goes well with the red rose. But I also agree that the image can be cropped a bit from top and right to eliminate empty space. |

Great capture of mud skipper! Image is sharp throughout, against a subdued background. The specular highlights on the mud skipper help to emphasize the wet, watery nature of his skin and his environment. |

Hi Rich, This is a well-composed shot which shows many features of the Great Wall. To warm up the image, I increased Temperature in Adobe Camera Raw filter without increasing Tint (see below): |

Lori, great job capturing hawk! He stands out well from the background which is nicely blurred and mottled (this isn't always easy to achieve in the wild!). He is also well-posed with highlight in eye. I agree that the image can be cropped down a bit from the top. Bird's breast is somewhat blown out - perhaps some burning in here would help. |
