This is definitely a study in textures. The applied texture effect complements the original textures in the image. Exposure is well-controlled and the background has no distractions. In addition, the hand and the dark ropes enter the scene on opposing diagonals, which adds dynamism to an otherwise static composition. Well-done! |

I agree with Diana and Donna's comments! Well-planned use of a single blossom image to create a complex composite. The inner border with the petals crossing it adds drama and energy to the composition. I also like the light blue shadow. My only quibble is that the lefthand side of the flower composite is slightly hot; this can easily be toned down by slight burning in. Overall, nice job! |

Perfectly exposed, vibrant colors and fine texture throughout! You might consider adding a border to separate the image from the webpage background. |

Diana, I, too, prefer your second revision of the original. Its darker tones make the scene more dramatic and the colors more saturated. However, I would have cropped in a bit less from the right. I would have cropped out the tree at the edge of the original image but retain the other tree as an internal frame. Overall, nicely done! |

A well-composed interior image! The stained glass window and columns are nicely centered in the vertical format, and the posts at the ends of the pews act as a leading line to take the viewer into the picture. There are also no distracting elements (such as tourists walking around!). However, I think the image is a bit too tightly cropped - I would have included the top of the arch in the scene. |
