Thanks, all, for your feedback! This is among my favorite photos from that trip. I was lucky to get all 3 men in captured poses as they moved about their work. |

I agree with other members - great image in many respects for the reasons mentioned!! This image is a winner as is, but would be even better if you showed the nest, i.e. where the stork is going. This would add a strong story element to the photo. |

I've read the comments of other members, and agree that bright distractions in night photography are often a problem. I would keep the people on the right side but crop out those on the left, some of which are right at the edge of the image. Also, by lowering the midtones (using Levels in Photoshop, for example), the fountain stays bright, but the distracting details around it get toned down. |

You took advantage of a great opportunity to shoot this image - stark snow and blue sky, and just a few people in the scene! I agree that there is too much negative space at bottom - crop up to reduce this (and maybe just a bit from the left). Placement of the people is perfect - the woman at right is looking back at the couple at center, so that's where my eye goes. This is one case where the blown-out snow in background is okay; it adds to the abstract quality of the shot. |

Beautifully composed image. Can't ask for much better than this out in the open! Riverfront scenes are a way to minimize background clutter - any distractions will be on a far distant bank. Here, the 2 trees act as internal frames for the couple and the building. The woman is buried in despair but the man is looking up at the gleaming building! So that's where our eyes go. You could try cropping out the right tree to make a vertical scene. |

Though you caught Jelly in a "sunrise moment", it looks like a lot of planning went into this image! The lighting is generally well-managed, and the palette of earth-toned colors unifies the composition. The mirror reflection balances out the main subject. My only quibble is that the right half of the cat's face is too dark and needs a bit of dodging. Overall, tho, well-done! |

A well-captured scenic of the view from the road. I agree with others that it lacks one strong center of interest, but I do think the lake and butte are the 2 main subjects in the scene. Therefore, I would crop down from the top to make more of a panorama and concentrate the viewer's eye on these 2 areas of interest. |
