This image has a lot going for it! The facial pose with the eyes looking off-camera. The striking colors. And the black background, which brings out the subject and is fitting for the theme. You might consider putting a light border around the image to prevent its dark background from merging with the dark background of the webpage. |

A dramatic image with exquisite colors and lighting. Petals and leaves are perfectly backlit and detailed, and the vibrant greens and reds complement each other. I agree about cropping just a bit up from the bottom - it would place the flower a bit more off-center. |

A capture of a quite exotic bird. The strongest portion of the image is the bird's head, neck and shoulder. Here, the feathers show fine detail and the bird is looking directly at the camera. Therefore, I agree with Donna that the image should include this area only, plus a bit of the leafy background. |

A nicely composed image with the boat well-placed in the frame and dramatically illuminated by the sunset light. There is also good texture in the clouds and the seagull adds a point of interest. However, the image is small - only 270 x 320 pixels in size. I agree with Herb that a little cropping up from the bottom would strengthen the composition. |

The center of interest in this photo is the bee which is sharp and well exposed. The original image does need further cropping to direct the viewer's eye to this main subject, which you have done in your revised image. However, I would have cropped less from the top to avoid cutting off the back flower petal. |
