10 Jul 18 Comment Beautifully captured image of baby at peace. I agree that the image works by keeping Mom out of the scene and that cropping out some (but not all!) of the arm would strengthen the composition. The vignette also helps here. Jul 25th
10 Jul 18 Comment This "architectural landscape" has impact. I especially like the contrasting geometric shapes in the MBS - rectangular body and oval top. Image is a bit bright but not overly so. I don't mind the small red ball - it provides a welcome accent of contrasting color. Much like the proverbial figure in a red jacket that so many past photographers liked to place in their landscapes! Jul 25th
10 Jul 18 Comment Another image with a strong subject! The classic outlines of the car, as well as interior and surface reflections, are ably captured. I must admit struggling with what is to me the somewhat distracting background detail. However, this is too good an image not to do anything about it! I would crop down slightly to eliminate the sign at center and red patch at upper left. I also feel that the guy in yellow at left should be cloned out. But I would leave the blue car as is - it provides context and color contrast. Overall, nicely done! Jul 25th
10 Jul 18 Comment An evocative image of a memorial cemetery! What I particularly like is the lighting and texture on the gravestones which heightens their realism and gives each of them individual character (even though most of them don't have visible inscriptions!). I don't mind the sloping horizon since to me, the trees appear mostly vertical. I do agree that some trees are cut off at top and the big tree is too centered, but their dark tones do not make them overly distract. Overall, well done!! Jul 25th
10 Jul 18 Comment A well-exposed photo with a strong subject. The vibrant colors of the flowers stand out well against the light hues of the curtains. The open window with the dark interior beyond adds a bit of drama to the scene.
I feel the image is too closely cropped at top and bottom. Also the pipe at right is slightly distracting, but I would try to clone it out rather than crop it out.		 Jul 25th
