Colorful image of a very unusual house! Many points of interest for the viewer's eye. I especially like the architectural details on the roof. I agree with others about the detail at lower right - don't eliminate it, just tone it down. |

A fast-action capture with great potential! Cowboy and calf are tack sharp and the flying sand adds great drama. However, I agree with others that there are some post-processing problems. There are gray areas below the cowboy's left arm and right elbow. Also, there are identical repeated background elements at left and right edges in the upper third of the image, which suggests that you tried cloning-out some of the original background.
I would suggest trying a completely different post-processing approach. Carefully select the entire original background (in the upper third of the image) and apply a sufficiently strong Gaussian blur. This should make the background much less distracting, yet retain enough detail in it to provide a context for the still sharp main subject. Since I haven't seen the original background, I don't know if this will work, but I think it's worth a try.
As it now stands, nicely done for the main subject!

Nice nighttime image, Diana! It is well-composed, and because you shot with a tripod there is sharp detail throughout with no blown-out elements. I agree completely with John's comments: crop down to reduce empty sky and make more of a pano format. Include more water next time, which will add symmetry and dynamism to the scene. Lastly, add a blue cast or shoot more within the "blue hour". |

Including the clothesline adds a strong foreground subject with color and detail to this image! Moreover, even though there are no people in the scene, the clothes strongly suggest their presence and turn this photo into a PJ image. I agree with others about cropping in from both sides, particularly to eliminate the overexposed and distracting lion at bottom right. |

I agree with others that this image shows great artistry! The reflections in chrome, body and headlights bring out the classic lines of the car. I am not bothered by the dark background since I can just make out the entire outline of the car on my monitor. I do find that the lack of visible wheels at bottom makes the car seem to float in space - maybe a little lightening (dodging?) here might help. I also agree with changing the title to Black Beauty! Overall, well-done! |

This detailed image with its many colors and textures is a good test for how fine a print can be obtained from a smartphone pic. This is something for me to try as well!! |
