An original approach to an iconic image of the American Southwest. Most pics of Monument Valley I've seen were in color, but here you've done well with B/W in terms of exposure and tonal range. I have to agree with others that a little more space at top would help. But don't overdo it - too much space and the monuments would appear smaller and less imposing in the scene. |

Perfect capture! You were there, prepared, at exactly the right time. I guess persistence pays off. In the image, neck, beak and body of the fish make a curved line for the eye to follow. I also like the "face-off" of fisheye vs birdeye. |

Well-done sunrise! Colors are rich and vibrant, yet not blown out. Clouds, shafts of sunlight and reflections in the water add to the image. The panoramic format complements the wide angle field-of-view. I agree that more detail in the shoreline at right would strengthen the image. Again, the Shadows/Highlights command in Photoshop would help here. |

Definitely an image that tells a story! The scene is helped by the saturated colors and even exposure (due to overcast light?). Unfortunately, the kid touching the camera is looking away out of the picture. If you had the chance, you could have waited till he turned back, but I know that time is limited and your subjects (especially kids!) tend to be in constant movement. |

This is a pleasing waterfall image with falls nicely blurred and foliage quite sharp for a handheld shot. The placement of the flowering tree itself does not bother me, but I agree with other members that it blocks and overwhelms the falls in back. The image also has a cool, bluish cast which can be corrected by increasing the color temperature.
There is a stronger, simpler image within this image which the photographer should be able to extract by cropping down:

This scenic successfully conveys the impact of the rugged fiord landscape. The fog/cloud against the background hills gives depth to the image and the seagull adds a strong point of interest. However, the image is too contrasty, with lack of shadow detail at left and overblown sky. This can be at least partially corrected using the Shadow/Highlight command in Photoshop. Also, the seagull is too close to the upper edge of the image. Finally, a faster shutter speed (perhaps obtained using a higher ISO) would have sharpened the image, especially in the waves at bottom. |
