Rich, Thank you for your comments and question. I did not use any filter. This image was taken in Carnival on very crowded street. I can't move close to people and must use zoom lens to get enough size. I use 70-300 mm lens in 187mm focus, (I made a mistake in "How I did" description lens 18-200mm). Use long focus lens has advantage to isolate my subject with crowded background. The final image blurred background was worked out in PS post process. Attached a very original w/o
edit. |

Rich,
Your image is very interesting to me, because before retired I was working in Engineer consulting company and worked in HVAC design cooling and heating duct/piping system. I took a lot of similar photos in my work field.
Since you used 24mm wide angle lens, in your photo there is distorting from both sides, I would fix it in PS. On the same time, the big duct with brighter spot been cutoff. That is Tom suggest to remove. Also, I raise the brightness in the darker area and fixed some light circle spots.

I can see you are focus on the fluff "hair" on the back of sunflower. They are sharp.
Since your purpose is shooting the "hair", I would made it sharper. I tied use Sharpen Tool in PS to sharpen more, the result came out seems better. |

Nice image! The major subject is the person and dogs. Look in the whole image the major subject is not quite outstanding. the big tree attracted my eyes move to the big tree on right.
I would crop out the right-side part and move the smaller tree to left a little bit and retrieved more sky-blue color. |

Warmly welcome to join our group 07.
Nice shot, single side light source created a beautiful light
patterns. The only thing is lost details in darken area. you can adjust the shadows to retrieve details in Camera Raw.
