When I just open this image I didn't recognize what it is.
The alligator makes really good camouflage. For a photo I agree to make around background darker, but for real natural environment I would leave what it is. That is what alligator want to camouflage. |

In my first glance It attracts my eye right away on the shadow pointing to the walker. This is a great capture. I like Tom's cropping. That is eliminated distracting area from 3 sides. Even I would remove the black window on left up side and crop more on the bottom |

I like this interesting pattern with constitute from the yellow sand texture and diatonic lines. My question is that such pattern meets the requirement of the composition with Fibonacci (Golden Spiral) curve ? |

I like the snow photo. Usually shooting the snow need be careful on exposure, because easy get overexposure on white snow. You handle the snow very well. One thing I am not sure is the added Elk size. Is it not too big ? About Tom's comment "The elk needs a shadow". If look at the elk, the back of elk is brighter. If look on the snow, the bright part is on left side. I am really not sure where is the light source came from. If look on the whole image the right portion is shading area, so The elk might not able to have a shadow. |

Very interesting historical photo. The shooting angle is good. It looks moving forward to me. I feel it's too tight to the edge, special on front and bottom. I try to increase space on front and bottom. Also I increase blue color on the sky, but decrease the blue color of the blue steam on side. I add more haze on back side. |
