Well done except I think the composition would be improved by cropping the photo from the right, thereby moving the hat out of the center. The lighting is great and the subject well handled. |

It must have been a super party! you nailed a great photojournalism shot! I am amazed that the scene was so bright you could take the photo without a flash. Peak of the moment and a high ISO. I take opera photos and can't use a flash. You caught the peaks when he was still. |

Very nice image! The only thing I would suggest is that you get down a bit lower so the tree doesn't merge with the skyline. It would give the photo more depth. I think it would be good also to to see if you can select the island , tree and fisherman and then make an adjustment layer to bring out more light and detail. |

HI, I also like flowers. Your final improved rendition is gorgeous. The focus is mainly on the larger, open rose, so I would crop from the right to move it off center. I am trying to be more creative. As a retired chemist, I am often too documentary. I am inspired by your treatment. |

It did well in competition in the camera club against some very good images. Thanks for your comment! |

Personally I am attracted to windows. That attracted me immediately. I like the brightening of the wood to make interesting composition suggested by Hoshedar. The only thing that would make it more interesting is a scene in the windows or a face. But then it is in a different category. |

I like your subject and the artist with his completed work. I think the bright background detracts. Select the bright background and darken it. Select the man's face and hands and brighten them. You want them to be the most contrasty and brightest thing is your image. |
