Your photo with the story helps generate the feeling for the conditions. It is odd to have such fancy settings for such an impoverished family, though. Your lighting is good and the chairs and table look authentic. Glad I don't have to live there! |

You did a great job of capturing a scene and presenting it! I love the way things fit together. I would crop from the top eliminating most of the red object above his head, and the other red, I would desaturate. |

I am so glad you looked out the window and had your camera with the appropriate lens! I agree that to crop off the top because it adds nothing and with it's brightness, takes away from the golden curves. |

Update: The print did very well in competition this week. This jpeg seems to have more green in the water. The print was truly golden on metal paper. Somehow there is a color shift to surge.jpeg. |

Well handled! Gorgeous arrangement and flow! I like your choice of shutter speed and complete depth of field! Even the rock has some color! I just wish it were mine! I am sure you will have lots of positive results with this photo! |

I really like the composition and your arrangement of the people and the objects in your photo. Because I take opera photos, I am always dealing with strange lighting conditions. I don't think your photo needs so much dark amber. I would do some color correcting and I would also brighten the image. You want to have viewers to see and be attracted to the scene and I am sure your brain saw a brighter image. |
