The cropping question is what do you want to show? Overall scene or the cattle and herder. I would crop out the top to just above the hut, so the focus is directed more to the cattle and herder. If it is travel the building cannot be removed but cropping the top would give it less importance. I agree that flipping the image has more impact. But is that allowed in whatever category you are presenting it in? |

Yike! Close call with the bridge! I am amazed that all is so sharp even at 1/1600 of a second. Fantastic journalism shot! I am pleased with the image as presented. Having the action where it is gives me the feeling of great speed. |

The sky was gray and disappeared when I corrected the exposure on the bird. I could have added some clouds but chose not to. |

You did it! I think it would be even better if the depth of field were greater. You would probably need a tripod. The foreground seems soft and a bit deeper it is sharp. It looks more like a painting than a photo. I like it!

It feels creepy. I don't like the door to be so centered. I don't read oher peoples' comments until I have written mine. It was impossible not to notice others had cropped your image and I like Tony's suggestion. I think the bottom is to bright and would burn down the greenery. I would also brighten the interior a bit to pull the viewer into the photo. Not sure about monochrome. I have not done monochrome much for years. |
