The image has impact. The composition works. The bright lighting accentuates the decay. The mold and weathered wood are well captured. But it is a high contrast image that show no detail in the room behind the window. I think shadowy shapes in the window would add. You could go back on an overcast day and see what the image would look like. |

Dramatic! The composition is marvelous. I love your wave and sunstar. I like the color photo better. The grainess (noise) of the photo bothers me. If you don't like it, I have had good luck with noise reduction using Nik software. Original 3 could be cropped to give the wave and sun more prominence. I like the transluscence of the wave in that shot. What fun to have these to work on!

The tree is stark and almost grotesk. I am not sure this is what you intended. You could feature just the tree and crop it to a sort of a square as well. I feel the black solid shadow pulls my interest from the tree. Divided interest isn't as compelling as a single subject. |

Very nice image ! I would darken the white cuffs by burning if you are entering the photo in photojournalism. Or I would rubber stamp the pattern of the sleeves over them. It would also work to crop them out or at least most of them and then darken as suggested above. |

Thanks Tony, I was anticipating changing the fence color but to what? Now I can keep it. |

You did it! The color is arresting; the diagonal composition is appropriate. and the subject is gorgeous! The only possible improvement would be to crop from the right to get rid of most of the dark out of focus hole of the bottom of the bloom. I would crop all of the top light spots and then darken the one left at the bottom. I find it attracts attention.
It looks like a hibiscus to me. |

I like the feeling of this image. It is somewhat a feel of reaching for the dead and them reaching back. I agree it is a prizewinner. You could desaturate the right corner. It is the blue that is attracting unwanted attention not the brightness or the busyness. Congratulations! |
