What you do with the background as Tomi and I have shown variations of, is do you want to emphasize the bird or the background? |

I don't think that it needs a clear center of interest, as the clouds go to a point in the center taking our eye straight there. |

Good find on the buckle. I was wanting to keep the ISO low to help with noise. |

What a great story and image. You really captured the biker and his bike very well. I have tried some light painting of a setup in my house but never outside. I do need to try it! I like the image as is, but to improve it I would get rid of the small green area in the upper left (it seems to draw my eye). I would also crop off the right side to get rid of the lighted top area, and try to bring back more detail in the headlight. Too bad that the club judge did not like the image, their mistake. |

You did an excellent job of taking four images for the image, especially hand held. Of course taking four images is the only way to photograph the large area. The ruins are interesting and it shows how well the walls were constructed to be standing almost 400 years later. The harsh sunlight does not distract, and may really have helped the image as the shadows add contrast to the stone work. The blue sky with clouds is nice. |

Really great shot with all of the dust, a large number of horses and the lone rider. What a great sight that must have been. The horses in the front are very sharp and of course the horses behind them fade into the dust. Mono is fine and does simplify the image. I did use generative fill to add more space in front of the horses, reverse the image to have the horses run into the image, and got rid of the small part of the last white horse. I am not sure how PSA is considering generative fill. A harder alternative would be to expand the canvas and use the clone tool to copy pixels in the image in front of the horses. |

I disagree with Hoshedar, the background is what makes this image. The blue and green colors on the background are great, and the rocks have a lot of contrast. The pelican does look good and the small feather adds to the image. As an idea, I blurred the green stones behind the bird, to add separation. I know that there is a halo around the pelican, so not a finished image, but again, showing an idea. |

You captured a nice sunset, but the clouds on the horizon and the clouds streaming in do indicate a storm may be coming in. I like the reflections in the wet sand. I hope that you had no flood damage. |

The goose contrasted against the blue water has a lot of impact. The smoothness of the water is perfect, allowing the perfect reflection, but still showing a slight movement. There is a slight catch light in the eye, and I would bring it out more. Did you reverse the image to put the head in the upper right for better composition? |

I don't remember how long the tree branch was, but I am sure that it is pretty long. It was a really big and old tree. Removing the leaves would be fine, as I am sure that the tree branch is obvious. |

I can see why you took the image, the angles of the walkway with the lead in is great. The couple on the walkway really adds to the image. I think that Diana added too much contrast. I also tried something. I first used Photoshop camera raw filter to open up the shadows and then converted to mono with NIK silver efex and the high contrast soft preset, adjusting the sliders some. |

A really nice portrait of the rhino. I don't know if I would have gotten out of the truck. I think that your mono has gone too dark and too much contrast. I first sharpened the image with Topaz sharpen AI, and then converted to mono with NIK silver efex using the high contrast soft preset with some slider adjustment. What do you think? |

Great layers in the image. There is a center of interest in the mono because my eye goes straight to the tallest tree that is in the center. That does not work in the color because the orange trees draws attention. I do like the color image with the contrast of the orange in front and blue in back with green in between. |

Great job of selecting the truck and adding it to the old barn. From your originals, the truck is darker but to balance the final image I would lighten it. The sunlight on the truck is a bit of a problem, because of the shadow, and also because of the darkness of the truck interior. I would also add some more room below the truck. You did a much better job than I have ever been able to. |

Great model setup, with the attractive woman in front of the steampunk background. I like her expression. The mono is good as it emphasizes textures, and I like the tighter crop. As already pointed out you need to balance the light. The larger aperture is good to slightly blur the background. Well done. |

Beautiful flower, and well photographed and edited. Like Cindy said, the sharp stamens create a focal point. My eye bounces between the stamens and the fairly sharp red lines in the upper right. I would blur that area. |

I have never used a lens baby. I would say that this flower is a good subject. The leaf in the lower right distracts from the flower. I like what Cindy did with the crop and to have something sharp in the image. |

Another great flower image. It is very sharp and the water droplets and insect add a lot to the image. As Bob said, the background is great. |

The flower is very sharp and well lighted. To me the background on the right side is a distraction. |
