Great image of a beautiful location. The 2 hikers really add to the image. |

I am glad that you were asked to take some images of this beautiful flower before the storm damaged it. I like it very much, with the orange stamens drawing the eye straight to them. Judith's image is also nice, and another way to go with the image, but I think that she cropped too much as I like the curve of the stem. I thought that your moody is too dark, and the revised lost some detail in the flowers. I adjusted in levels and used the new remove tool in Photoshop to get rid of some, to me, distracting items. |

Very colorful and striking image. I like the contrast between the yellow lights and blue in the center. The exposure and contrast is very good to have nothing blown out. I do like what Judith did to straighten it. |

This is a very nice evening skyline image. I am not sure how I feel about the birds. I think if you had used a bit faster shutter speed, they would have looked more like birds and have been an addition to the skyline -- and you did not need the depth of field from f9 for this distant image. But from the comments above, they all like it, as an alien invasion image. It all depends on what you as the artist like. |

The infrared image is striking, and as Paul said, it looks like a winter snow scene. The black bird is a very good addition. The image has me thinking about having one of my cameras that I am not using converted. |

The flower is sharp, with a nicely blurred background. The water droplets really add to the image. I am not sure if a lighter background as Judith is showing is the way to go, but it is an interesting alternative. |

I am glad that you are able after 3 years to get a camera that you are really happy with. I think that you are smart to leave all three in the photo, it really tells the story. The lighting is very good, and you captured the ball in a good location. One suggestion, if you have the captain without a leaf over part of his face, is to replace his face with a clear one (that is, if you don't want to use the image as a PJ entry). |

I did decide to add some clouds that I had taken another time (I save them for use like this). I used Photoshop sky replacement, which works really great. |

A very different prospective using an ultra wide lens of this beautiful but also very photographed lighthouse. I really like it, and agree with the way you presented it being sharp from front to back. |

I don't know if you can do it, or how to do it in Lightroom, but in Photoshop, go to: Images, Image Rotation, Flip Canvas Horizontal. Of course if you do not like it, then you can always go to Edit, Undo. |

You planned the image very well, the lighting adds a lot of texture to these small flowers. I have not been a fan of converting flowers to mono, but since the flowers are white, it works very well here. Having the flowers centered also work well here. As Wes said, the stems all point in, which draws the eye. Well done. |

I like your choice to go to monochrome, and the conversion and the crop. Very well done. I think that your depth of field is perfect. The animal and the grass close to it is sharp, and he stands out very well from the background. I also like that the hills in the distance are blurred, it gives me the effect of wondering what he is looking at. |

This is very interesting with the spike shadows. I think that this is a great use of mono. I, like Somdutt, like your crop showing the sky. I reversed the image, so that it goes from light to dark. |

I like the lighting, it does show some direction, but not so much that it has strong shadows. I think that it is well posed and a good subject for monochrome, with the black and white dress. The black background makes the Elena stand out. I am glad that you did not crop at the knees, as I was told that that is a no no, do not crop at a joint. |

I am sure that I could have done better without the glass being in the way, but as it was, this is the best angle. |

You captured an very interesting flower under difficult conditions. Your editing really helped the image. Thanks for sharing that the flower tracts both the lunar and the solar cycle. It makes me wonder if there is a certain insect that it is trying to attract for pollination. I hope that you do not need to wait another 20 years for it to bloom. |

A very nice still life. It has good composition, good lighting, is very sharp, and has good depth of field. I like the green background against the red apples. I am not familiar with growing apples -- is the green shriveled up one on top one that did not form properly? It adds a lot of interest to the image. I agree with your second thought, that the dead leaf in the background is a distraction. |

Interesting patterns the way that the light plays on the glass vase. I hope that you were able to get the texture that you were wanting. |

A really nice image of the detail on an old barn. I really like the texture from the red paint wearing off, and its contract with the blue. Usually a latch like this would be metal, so this one must be very old. I like that parts of it have cracked from wear through the years, and has been repaired with small nails. It is interesting that the tongue of the latch is sticking out into the black of the webpage. I would not change a thing. |
