Rich, I like the improvement. As to Barbara's comment, it depends on the use of the image. Maybe for pictorial crop out the ranch hands, but for PJ I think that they show that it at a rodeo. |

It was a great day, with several different military units there. The original fort dates back to the early 1700's, before the French and Indian War, well before the Revolutionary War. At that time, Illinois was under French control. |

Nice story telling image of the welcome and the flowers. Another one of your moody images, but if it was brighter then the flowers would be overexposed. Meaning that the surroundings are dark, not the image. I really like what Gaetan did with the image, especially the color -- the yellower flowers look much better. |

I agree with Paul that the bright items around the woman are a distraction. I know that my mind also gets focused in on the subject that I am taking and do not see distracting items around them until later. Looking at the image, you may have been able to get rid of some of them by moving to the right. Overall, I really like the image and the woman so involved in the music. I think her right hand may be in focus, but is blurred because of movement. Your focus point is off, because it would be a better image if the near part of the instrument was in focus instead of the back. I did use photoshop to clean up some of the items. I would say that your test of the camera's low light capabilities show that it is very good. |

I enjoy you taking us to these places that we will probably never get to see. I would say that you accomplished what you set out to do, capture this beautiful memorial building. The sky has some interest to it, but more importantly eliminates any harsh shadows. Taking the image straight on at the corner adds interest as it is a different prospective. I used the lens correction in photoshop to make the walls all straight, and I also removed the the small white towers in the far right that was drawing my eye. |

Good rodeo action shot, where it looks like the rider barely got started with his ride. The bull is showing attitude -- "I won again!" The background is good, showing people behind him, but not in focus. It looks like the nose of the bull is not totally sharp, either from depth of field or movement. A suggestion would be to darken the people in the background, especially the woman on the left. |

The original one was, but the new model is a modern digital macro 4/3rd mirroless camera. I am not sure why Olympus used the same name again. |

All three look sharp to me. Like Stephen I like that the 3 boys are all doing something different but also that they go down in height from left to right. Conversion to mono was a good choice to get rid of the colors distracting from the boys. I don't compete anymore except in camera club. However, I have always thought that "street photography" is capturing people in a candid situation, which is what this is. |

I agree with the above suggestions, but have a different one. If there are more trees along the lane, and I can see two in the background, move closer to the street and get more trees in the lane in a vertical image. |

I think that your aperture is good. I like that the tracks go out of focus as it goes into the distance. The curve of the tracks is nice. I do like what Diana did with the image, but maybe the track in the background should be removed to simplify the image for the minimalist effect that you are wanting. |

I agree with the comments above about the back 2 flowers should be removed. You did a good job of converting to monochrome with the yellow areas being darker to show depth. You really don't need focus stacking for the one peony. I usually don't use a tripod unless I am taking macros or long exposures, but my camera has excellent in camera image stabilization. But maybe I should use a tripod more. I find that it slows me down and I look at the subject and the background more before I click the shutter. |

Focus stacking gets everything in sharp focus. I think that the lighting is good, as all of the flowers are lighted and there is some darker areas showing lighting direction. You captured detail in the white, which can be difficult. I do like the color better. |

Yes. I don't think that Silver Effects Pro has really changed. |

The spider is very sharp and the composition is good to place it in the upper right. Your editing really helped the image. Thanks for the information on the spider. |

Very sharp image of the seed head, with good depth of field. I like the background as it really makes the seed head stand out. |

The focus point on the hands and the near card is perfect, as is the depth of field. I like the story with the chips in the background. I looks like you took it at quite an angle but that is very effective. Great noise for ISO 3200. A suggestion would be to tone down the highlights in the lower right corner if you could. |

Great sharpness and depth of field. The swirls pull us right into the center. I like the angle, the black and the reflection. I would not change a thing. |

It looks like good eating. On my computer, they seem to have a lot of red colors. I agree with Bob that you need to reduce the highlights. |
