There were other quests in the room and walking in and out, so it had to be kind of a grab shot. |

Congratulations! Conversion to JPEG loses color space, but is necessary to reduce file size. |

No, I really saw it about the way I am showing it. The lighting was oil lamps and candles. |

So I moved the head from the image where she is looking toward the other two, into the image with the whole table. Do you like this better? Part of her dress is now cut off, is that a problem? |

When I went back to look at my images, I actually have one showing all of the table, the the closer young woman looks like she is napping. |

I will try it, and let you know. My camera has really good internal stabilization, but I have always been pretty steady. |

Thank you for the history of the area and the cabin. The image tells a good story, and I like that the chair legs are tied together to make the chairs sturdy -- shows really hard use. The lighting is great, and the depth of field is very good. I would not change a thing. |

This is a really nice story telling "street" image. The cropping is good to get rid of distracting elements on the right and left. The fact that he has one leg off the bench adds to the image. I would not change a thing. |

This is a really nice image of the area with the highways of course being the main subject. I like the color of the highway. The exposure time make the cars to be only slight streaks which helps simplify the image. The only suggestion that I have is that the orange lights area at the very top draws my eye from the highway, and maybe it should be cropped off. |

Nice sunset image. The sun and boat are in a perfect spot. The exposure is great and the birds in the air add a lot of interest. |

Nice image with the pelican and its reflection. The wake shows movement and I like the the water is not completely still as that adds texture. The color is great. |

Really nice image of the waterfall. I like the composition of the waterfall flowing out on the lower left and coming in in the upper right. The brown leaves help add some color. I would not change a thing. |

This is a nice sharp image of the flower, and the dark lines on the inter petal really help add interest. I don't know that anyone would think that the texture in the petals is noise, since there is not much noise in the background. I like the tight cropping. |

This is an interesting perspective with a bare tree almost the same size and shape as El Capitan. When I saw the thumbnail on the main group website I did not know what it was, but when I open it, shows what it is. It has a lot of detail and texture. The sky doesn't bother me. The very small sensor in the smart phones I would think makes for some limitations. |

Your color slide sure had a color shift, and going with monochrome was the only way to go. An interesting image. I am wondering if you left footprints in the surface. If so, footprints going out of the image would add scale and interest. I reversed the image as I think that allows the ripples lead me into the image better this way. I also increased the contrast and brightness a touch. What do you think? |

Interesting pattern image. I like that you have one of the rolls in the center. I do like what Lynne did with it. |

I agree that you did what you intended to do. I would not have any idea what it was unless you had told us. I think that you would have a better image if you cropped off the hinge area on the left. I like the scratches and used NIK silver effects pro and the high structure smooth preset to bring out more of them. Then I used the clone too to get rid of the bright spot in the center. |

Thanks. If you are interested, there is an image of the dining room table I took that night in Group 7. |

A very sharp image with plenty of depth of field. I like the blemishes and scratches, as that add a lot of character. Taking is at an angle from above and also having it at an angle adds a lot of interest. I think that you added too much back in the second image. I would crop it off where is starts to go black. |

An interesting story with such a large structure being held up by the 4 footings. Pictorially the bucket on the right is a distraction, but for the story it shows scale. There are lots of lines and angles here. Cindy's monochrome brings out the reflections and would look good with a tighter crop. I like what Bob did with the tight crop of the footing. |

At first glance it is hard to tell what it is. Having more of a face would help. We had a small Westy, and I could never take a good photo of him, because he always ran toward me. There is a lot of texture here, and Cindy's darker background helps separate the background texture from the dogs. Maybe when they grow up and settle down some we can see some great photos of them. |

Nice sharp image of the flower and it being centered really grabs the eye. As mentioned above, the background is a bit distracting. |

Great depth of field and also a nicely blurred background. The fruit looks like it is not in perfect condition and the dying and ed leafs is very different from what is normally photographed (usually great fruit and perfect leaves). This and the texture of the fruit makes this an interesting image. I would clone off the part of a leaf in the lower left. |

Very sharp with excellent depth of field and the great colors of this beautiful flower. The black background is very good. There is no stem, but the flower bud keeps it from looking like it is "floating". I am glad that you added a small boarder to separate the image from the black website. |
