At least they did not have to go to the outhouse. It could be emptied later. This historical old house has almost all of the original furniture, and no electrical lighting. I plan on going back when they light the overhead gas lights in the rooms around Christmas. |

Thanks. No, the room was not roped off, but there was a guide with me. |

You did capture a really nice image. The colors great and the exposure is right on. The composition is very good, to have the giraffe on the right side, as the eye follows the eye from the elephants to it. There does appear to be a bit of a halo on the animals, but that is probably do to the back light and not processing. I would not change a thing. |

A nice pleasing image, showing the sugarcane fields. The sky is good, and the rows add a lot of texture to the image. You did an excellent editing job to improve from the original. |

I really like the image. You have good depth of field and have the trees on the ground to add foreground interest and classic Yosemite in the background. I agree with Hoshedar that the image does appear a bit over saturated, but disagree about the sky. The sky is bald, and not showing much of it is the way to go. |

The foggy bank is very nice, but I agree that it needs something. Adding the bird was a good choice. The heron seems a bit green on my monitor, and I agree with Hoshedar that it should be a bit higher. Your combining the two images looks very natural. |

It looks like a great place to take photos, with a natural setting. The bird is very sharp and the background blurred and a good color. The bird has a great pose. I would not change a thing. |

Thanks, but I don't think that I need to crop that much off. When I look at your suggestion, I see that cropping off the left side to get rid of the upright post would help. |

Snow was only a small part of the reasons, the fundamental structural purpose for covering a bridge is to shield the trusses and deck from the elements. Because wooden bridges with exposed superstructures are vulnerable to rot, covering and roofing the bridges protects the trusses from the weather, and so they last longer. Bridge engineers pointed out that uncovered wooden bridges have a 20-year lifespan, but if you covered a wooden bridge with a roof it could last upwards of 100 years. |

Thanks. Having moved here to SE Missouri a bit over a year ago from Oklahoma, I have been exploring the area. There is much more history around here than in Oklahoma, and being on the Mississippi much more early settlement. |

I did shoot HDR when I was outside the bridges to show both the exterior and at least partial interior. I just adjusted the exposure when taking images inside to give a proper exposure. Thank goodness to my camera's live view. |

Sorry about that. It is not that bad, but an easy fix. |

The image has it all. A nice lead-in with the sidewalk, and good curve patterns. The flags are blowing nicely so they are displayed well. I like old National Cemeteries and being a Vietnam veteran plan to be buried in one someday. I would not change a thing. |

It is great that you did that for the store, and got your cost back! Lots of textures on the wrenches, and going with mono really is the way to go. I am glad that you left the red areas gray. I would not change a thing. |

Interesting idea. I like the contrast between the large magnet and the ball. The depth of field doesn't bother me, as the ball and center area of magnet are sharp. I would crop off some of the paper on the right, and clone out the rest, to leave none of it showing. That would really bring attention to the pattern on the ball. I like the pattern on the ball. |

Bodie is a great place to visit. I really like the image. You really don't need to worry about the sky, as there is not much showing anyway. If you wanted to get rid of more of it, and more of the roofs, then you could crop some off the top. The roofs interested me. I saved your image, and duplicated the layer. Then I used the filter "Stylize" "Find Edges" to make the shingles look more to me like the old cedar shingles. I then used a mask to only show the filter on the roofs, and reduced the layer opacity to about 50%. I did leave a few spots on your original shingles so that the roof does not look to perfect. |

Great composition to have the flowers kind of cascading down, kind of like it was the same flower using multi exposure. The composition also has the eye drawn into the image from the lower left, with the larger flower in the center acting like a center of interest. The exposure is very good to keep the detail in the flowers, and conversion to mono was a good choice. |

I like the tight composition and that the curved spanners are in the upper right, to turn the eye back into the image. I like the texture on the old tools and think that conversion to mono was a great choice, as the wood texture and color draws the eye from the texture on the spanners. The only suggestion that I have is to get rid of the small white horizontal line. |

I think that all of the timbers are original. I can find nothing that said that any of them were replaced. The roof is probably new. You might like the graffiti for a photograph, but I think that it is terrible that people do that to a piece of history like this. I have added a side view of the bridge. |

I don't have an ebay store, and only sell mostly cameras and lenses when I upgrade or when I changed from Nikon to Olympus. I hope the images come back good. |

Did you expose them and get the film processed? I have some very out of date color film that I had no use for, and sold on ebay. There are photographers that like the altered color effects. I am glad that you have the camera at an angle, as that adds interest. I am happy with the digital age and getting to see the image instantly, to know if I got the shot. Not sure what effect you wanted, but to me the camera is too blue. I used hue and saturation and a mask to reduce the blue on the camera. |

I wonder what she is thinking, seems lost in thought. Yes, the eyes are beautiful. She seems a bit pale, but it could be my monitor. Maybe for balance you could bring back more detail on her lips? I hope that you make a print for her and her family. |

The snake really posed for you, and the composition is great. The curve and the snake body on the right side of the image turns the eye back into the image. The head and eye are super sharp, and you even have light burst over the eye. My only suggestion would be to crop off a little bit off the bottom. I really like the image. |

Everything is sharp, but it seems kind of busy and lacks a center of interest. Maybe you should have left one of the flowers colored? Or more of a vignette to only have a smaller area light? |

Nice image and of course, the insect adds a lot to the image. Not all of the front flower is in focus, but the center and the insect are, and that is what is important. It is good that you left in the leaf and stem, and the rest of the background is blurred. Have you thought about reversing the image to put more importance on the insect? |

The best camera that we have is the one that is with us (and the new smart phones take really good photos). The condensation on the glass is interesting and nice. I think that you cropped in a little too much. |

Great image, and the cub is super sharp. Your focal point is perfect and the composition it good. The out of focus grass in front adds to the story and image in my mind. |
