I must say that it is not my "thing", but it does really catch the eye. To me, the yellow and black area is the center of interest, and the ? magenta ? area at the top of the image draws my eye from the center. The yellow and black area kind of looks like a face, which adds to the abstract effect. |

Your composition makes 2 ordinary images into a good one. It looks very natural so your technique worked well. I am glad that you decided to leave in the blurred foreground, as that adds depth to the image. Only suggestion is to add a small border or stroke to the image to separate the foreground from the black webpage. |

You captured a very nice image of the Milky Way and the meteors. I like that you have some foreground detail. I prefer the image with the people removed. I went a step further and removed the leaf in the lower right, the row of lights and a couple of other light spots. |

What a great image; you did an excellent job of putting the three images together. It helps that you changed the angle of original 3. I could see it as a print or poster for aircraft enthusiasts. |

Your relative slow shutter speed worked very well here. The eye is very sharp, and with a nice highlight in it. The wings and lower body show a lot of movement, which to adds to the effect. I like the blurred background. I am wondering if you should tone down the right side of the image. |

You captured a nice waterfall, very well. I like the smooth water look that you got from the long exposure. The water is the brightest thing in the image, so the eye is drawn to it, but I would tone down the rock in the lower center. My eye is drawn to it. |

One reason that I went with the mirrorless 4/3th system is for telephoto lens. My Tamron 100-400mm was almost 8" long and weighted 40 OZ. My Olympus 75-300mm (same 35mm equivalent reach of 600mm on Nikon cropped sensor) is 4 1/2 inches long and weights only 15 OZ. Almost 1/3rd the weight, and seems really sharp. I have a Manfrotto 679B monopod and a 494RC2 head on it. It helped a lot with the Tamron 100-400mm lens, but was more weight and bulk to be caring around. I have only had the Olympus a couple of months and not used the it too much yet, but don't think that I will need a monopod with it. Very good in-body stabilization. |

I just sold most of my Nikons and purchased Olympus camera. Much smaller and lighter and seems really nice. I just need to get out and take some photos. |

That is what I used also, as Photoshop did not do a good job of the flowers I took photos of. |

A very striking image, and a good subject for focus stacking. It is sharp from front to back. What software did you use to combine the images? I tried focus stacking last summer and liked the results. The tones in the image are great and the black background and white border very effective. I can see why you printed it and put it on the wall. Also, thank you for sharing the story of the orchids. |

I think that going to mono was a good idea. I think that Ata improved the image. You are fortunate that the man that is the 3rd from both the left and the bottom has his head up. Maybe it is because of the difference, with the placement in the image helpful, that my eye is drawn to him and becomes a center of interest. I do not think that Diana helped the image. |

I do like Russ's crop. The snow is bright, but it is what it is. Making it darker would make it look muddy and I think would hurt the image. |

Nice idea for a simple image. On my screen, it does not seem to be as sharp as I would like to see. But I understand that you used f1.8 to blur the background which does help the image. I am not sure which I like better, the image as presented or Diana's. On both of them, I wish the the white areas away from the seeds was toned down so that the seeds were the whitest part of the image. |

Quite a creation! I am sure that this was a lot of fun. Converting it to mono was a good idea as that eliminated problems with different color tints. My only suggestion is the one made by Russ to add a small border. |

I am not really a big fan of infrared either, but when I came across this image, I thought that I would show the members its effects. |
