7 Aug 20 Reply Barbara, Thanks for that suggestion. It might work without moving the red boat too far to the left. Aug 23rd
7 Aug 20 Comment You did a really good job of cropping in and making the Wallgren's car the center of interest. The background blur is very effective. I think that you over blurred the flag on the passenger's side of the car. Aug 13th
7 Aug 20 Comment I am glad that you are okay. The color change is good as the original looks too blue to me. This is a really great location. I like the image both with and without the moon and can't decide on which I like the best. The moon pulls interest from the milky way but it also adds interest. Do you have any images with the moon without all of the glow around it? Aug 13th
7 Aug 20 Reply Thanks for the information. Showing all of the wing helps the image. Aug 13th
7 Aug 20 Comment Tony, Thanks for sharing some more images. A very beautiful location. I like both the B&W and the color, but think that the B&W is the best because it simplifies the image. The image looks like a painting. Aug 13th
7 Aug 20 Comment The image very sharp and lots of depth of field. The diagonal composition is very good and different then most butterfly images that have the butterfly from the top wings spread. I agree with Rich that you should crop some off the right side. I would also clone out the very bright out of focus flowers in the lower left corner. Aug 13th
7 Aug 20 Comment Really nice image, very sharp. I like the cropping and composition. I did not know that content aware could do that with the wing. The blur really helps the image. Aug 13th
7 Aug 20 Reply Thanks for the suggestion. Looking at it, you are right. It will be an easy fix. I just opened the original, moved it on top, and used a mask to show just the upper right building. Aug 8th

16 Aug 20 Comment What a great image with the sun shining on the church with the great mountain range behind it. I am a visitor to your group, but I will make a small suggestion. Crop off the white building below the church. It is drawing my eye from the church. Aug 16th

32 Aug 20 Reply Looking at the image again, I really like that she improvised on her cane and it has a piece of PVC pipe to have a curved top for her to use. I also like that she is looking straight at us. Aug 16th
32 Aug 20 Comment Really great capture of this woman in her environment. I think that your crop is perfect, and making the background lighter shows more of her surroundings. Going to monochrome simplified the image and got rid of the yellow scarf and the red of the basket. You do not need color to show the story of the image. If you do not plan on using the image in a PJ salon, then use content aware fill to get rid of the basket. Aug 16th
32 Aug 20 Comment The Washington Monument in the background shows the location. The crowd is young and seems excited. I think that the partial face really draws my eye, both because of the expression and also that it is cut off. That adds some mystery to the image as we mentally wonder what else is there. Without the partial face the image would not be as good. Aug 16th
32 Aug 20 Comment A nice old church. The sky is very nice. Too bad that you missed the cranberry bogs as I am sure that there would have been some good images to have been made. The red door is very nice. Why not use it? I know that if you have a color in the image then it must be a color image for PSA, but to me it would have more interest. I do like the color image. Aug 16th
32 Aug 20 Reply You did not present it as yours, and it is an interesting image for a DD monochrome group. Aug 16th
32 Aug 20 Comment I like your image. You are showing the flowing water but still with some reflections from the bright cliff areas. The tufts in the foreground add depth. I like the original best and not the darker images. I would think that it might be accepted in a salon but a winner. To make it better you need to add some clouds to the sky. Aug 16th
32 Aug 20 Comment Interesting sign and you did a good job of capture and converting to mono. However, this is someone else's art work. Aug 16th
32 Aug 20 Comment To me you have too many shiny areas on the monochrome version. I do think that the color version is interesting and better because of the colors. Aug 16th
32 Aug 20 Reply Jennifer, you are correct. Your explanation is better and more complete than mine was. Aug 13th
32 Aug 20 Reply Yes, what you did is an improvement. Thank you. Aug 6th
