The straight on, center subject is effective. Monochrome is effective, and well done. The tree lined road is the center of interest. A classic composition rule is that the closed gate is holding the eye out of the image. Hold your hand to cover the gate, and see if you look into the image better, and the road becomes the center of attention and not the gate. |

The boater must have been really cold on the cold water. But it is good that he was there, because it adds a lot to the image. The placement of the house makes for good composition and the trees for a background is effective. The reflections are very nice. I really like the image. The B&W is good, but I like the color better. |

The white burst in the upper right power point is good composition. I am glad that you added a frame around the image to separate it from the black website page. This is not my thing, but it has a lot of impact. |

Yes, you have an interesting subject. The red car especially stands out. I know that the sky shows that it is a sunset, but to it is a distraction. I would crop it off, and think that you would have a more powerful image. |

A nice sharp image, for being taken from a boat. The boat in the foreground is a good addition. The large pinkish building just above the center makes a good center of interest. A minor suggestion, it you had a bit more below the boat it would help. It is almost on the bottom of the frame. |

Very nice sharp image, and the eyes really stand out. I don't see 2 being a problem with this image. The rule of 1 or 3 was made to keep the eye from going from one subject to another, and again that is not an issue here. To me, the straw is distracting, and I would blur it some (if you do not plan on using in Nature). I blurred it some in photoshop. |

Not sure why the image is not sharp. What were your camera settings? Stephen's efforts seem to help some with the composition. The white plate or whatever it is that is right below the artist really draws my eye, and should be toned down. |

Yes, the color is too busy. Of course if you really want Woo Hoo, leave the Woo red. |

The wide angle lens makes a different perspective which adds interest to the car. You seem to have gotten lower to take the image, which adds power to the car. Monochrome is a good choice as it helps the car not being distracted by the green colors around it. |

No, just find a better model and one that you can communicate with. Maybe a fellow camera club member can help you with posing. I am not good at it, and don't try. |

The driver was probably looking at the equipment. These monsters do not move very fast. Oklahoma actually has two meets, one in the spring and a smaller one in the fall. It is nice to see that someone is keeping the old farming history alive. |

Great texture in the flower, and good job of converting to mono. Do you have any other images that don't have the out of focus blossom? Or one that has a second bloom not quite behind it? One thing that I try to do is to look at the background before I click the shutter. |

I don't care for the pose, as I think that her head should have been straight or tilted slightly the other way, and she was looking the wrong way. That said, it is nothing that you could have done to correct it. What really bothers me is that this appears to be a glamour shot, but her skin texture does not fit in with that. You could smooth out her facial skin. Paper curves don't matter to me. |
