Cell phone images are becoming a lot more popular with photographers. I am sure it is because they are so good, and also because it is the camera that you have with you. Reversing the image places the bird in a better location. The bird adds a lot to the image. I am glad that you straightened it, but I think that I like the color better in the original. The boat wake takes the eye straight to the bridge. |

Milky way images are something that I have wanted to do, but it is getting hard here in the US to find an area dark enough. When I was a kid and even 30 years ago when my when we were out camping you could see the milky way. Pretty sad about what we have done and are doing to the environment. Back to the image. How did you get the foreground lighted? Images like this need that foreground. As to the color, I like the color better in your second image, that is being shown as the original. |

Your changes really improved the image. It is a good story telling image. If you could open up the shadows on the man it would help, but it looks like you did some already and may not be able to do anymore. |

Very dramatic image. Looks like a stormy day. The birds are very good and the placement of them is good. I would get rid of the white areas at the top which look like a blown out area. Make them yellow. The monochrome that Guy did is also very good. The sun is centered which breaks a rule, but it is where it should be. |

Really great image. The setting sun is in a great location, the people add interest and the 2 cliff areas on both sides hold the viewer in the image. It is also a nice sunset had you have the reflection. |

What an interesting character. I think that the monochrome presentation is good because it simplifies the distractions in the image. I would crop off the piece of wood on the left side. It draws my eye, and does not add anything to the image. Good what they would call "street photography". |

I think that it is a really nice landscape, with the colors in the grass and the mountains in the background. I would tone down the brightness of the mountains. |

Great shot, the bird is very sharp. For color, add a blue background like a sky. For mono, I would leave the background as it is. But for either, you should add a catch light to the eye. The composition is good, and the branch is good to have in the image. |

This image looks way to dark for me and too much contrast. I like the color image and think that you should have brought out the texture in the stonework of the castle and you would have a better image. You lost the wispy clouds at the top. |

I do not like images that do not have a base, and that is what you have done to it. I like the contrast between the dark cactus and the white tower. |

You need the background to show what is going on. I agree with the above that the man is too bright. I like the monochrome, because it simplifies his very busy pants and the shells around him -- they draw the eye in color, but not in mono. |

I think that it is a good story telling image, and that monochrome simplifies it. The dark glasses do not bother me for monochrome. I like the photographer taking up the space that he does. Photographers in US seem to want to zoom in more on the subject, while those in GB want to show the scene. I like it as presented. |

The monochrome image is very stark but the dock or walkway is a good lead in line to the bright area in the sky, which helps show that it is a sunrise or sunset. The negative space on the right shows the expanse of the area. I like the color much better, and think that it is really great. |

Very stark and interesting image. One thing about this type of image is that the viewer does not know what it is until you tell them. That said, it is an interesting abstract and you did handle the shadow area very well. |
