Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
7 Apr 19 Comment Lots of bright colors add to the impact. You did a good job of capturing the water to smooth out the flow. You also converted from a slide very well, which is not easy to do. I wish that you had just a little bit more at the top so that the waterfall had more room above it. Waterfalls are not easy to photograph, and overall, you did a good job. Apr 13th
7 Apr 19 Comment I like the colors better on the image shown as the original. I really like the way that the koala is looking back toward you. You captured him in good motion. The image does seem a bit soft, probably because of all of the cropping that was required. Apr 12th
7 Apr 19 Comment What a striking image with the stark blacks and whites. I think that the composition is great, and conversion to B&W is very effective. Leaving the PNC at the bottom shows that it is a building. Apr 12th
7 Apr 19 Comment Tony, this sounds like a really great location, and the light on the clouds is great. However, all of the edge problems distracts from the image. Sorry to say, but to me this is more of a record shot because of the quality. Apr 12th
7 Apr 19 Comment Really nice capture, and I am glad that you asked him to walk along the path again. I can see why it did well in your camera club. He has the classic red jacket and he is reflected in the puddle and the fog is perfect, not too much and not too little. It is already a strong image, but my suggestion would be to crop off the bottom 2 puddles, as I don't think that they add to the pictorial effect. I did that, and then did some clarity in camera raw to make the new foreground sharper, and cropped off some of the right side. Apr 12th
7 Apr 19 Comment Paul, I really like the color corrections that you did with the image. It is a nice story telling image. I used Topaz Buz Sim filter to simplify the image, leaving the chairs as they were, with a mask. Apr 11th

32 Apr 19 Reply Thank you, that is an improvement. There are lots of windmills there, but they are really too close together to single out any one windmill. They also have an old sod house there that is interesting to photograph as well. I have an image from it in Group 7 this month. Apr 29th
32 Apr 19 Comment I used the quick selection in Photoshop which lets you select colors, which made it pretty easy to select only the red. Some PSA salons might let you enter this as a mono image, since it is B&W with only one other color. You would just need to read the rules carefully. Apr 13th
32 Apr 19 Comment We don't have any phone booths left in the US, so a phone booth image is different, and a red one is really unique. A well done image, with a happy friend in the image. I left the phone booth red, to really bring it out. Of course, then it would be a color image. Apr 11th
32 Apr 19 Reply I am not that good at cloning, but as you can see, Stephen likes the receding line of windmills. What do the rest of you think? Apr 11th
32 Apr 19 Comment Such a strong lead in line with the wall. I do think that the water line is not flat, and I do like what Diana did with the image. The front figure looking into the image adds to the composition. Apr 11th
32 Apr 19 Comment I like the crop that Diana did. The model was very pretty and had a good expression. I would have used a mask to keep her eyes and lips sharp. That way the entire image would not look unsharp, and it would bring out her pretty eyes. Apr 11th
32 Apr 19 Comment Really great, putting on snow chains was well worth it. The white looks fine on my monitor. I would crop off the white area at the lower left corner. Otherwise, I really like the image. Apr 11th
32 Apr 19 Comment Nice composition and I like the sky. This is a case, when it may have been good to have a person in it, to show the scale. I did an image that is lighter. The bright part in the upper right is a distraction to me, as it is the brightest part, but draw me away from the rest of the structure. Apr 11th
