Your conversion to B&W was a good choice, as it helps set the tone of being lonely. Also, your conversion to B&W is good. |

I really like what you did to find a different vantage point for the iconic location. Having some detail and texture in the bridge framing is effective. Showing movement in the helicopter blades adds to the image. I really like the image. |

I like you editing and agree that reversing the image is good -- it helps with the lead-in. The waves are really great, but I think that with them you have 2 images. The tide pool and the waves. |

Tony, you have really good lighting to bring out the hills. I too have been to Palouse and Steptoe Butte. It is really a remarkable area to photograph. There are also nice barns and other buildings in the area to add interest to landscapes. The problem with my images from Steptoe Butte is that they look flat. The lighting and the contrasting colors really makes this image something special. Nitpicking, but I would crop just a small amount at the top to get rid of the white. |

Noise does not seem to be a problem, with this smaller image. I like your border effect, it can help with the black background of this website. Members in Europe would like the space around the otter as they really like to see the elements around the subject. The otter is nice and sharp, with a blurred background. |

Nice job of capturing your friend. Without seeing the original color, I think that your conversion to mono help get rid of some of the background distractions. I kind of agree with Les about the background, but without the elements there, the story about being at an event would be lost, and you would just have a portrait. |

Tony, Thanks for the suggestion. I do like the eye of the one bison. |

The mirrors make for an interesting image. I do like the cleaner image from Jennifer. But then you might want to crop some off the right to get rid of the blank wall. |

Nice sharp image. I do like Diana's suggestion to crop in more, and get rid of the black area. |

An interesting image. I really like what Jennifer did to bring out the detail in the bricks. The what looks like brick lined walk way makes a good interest vanishing point area. I did remove the bare tree branches from the right side. |

Your image is really sharp, and so I think that you did just fine without a macro lens. You have a lot of detail in the petals. I do like the color image better. |

Interesting image, and it might do okay in a salon in an area that does not get a lot of snow. You did a very good job of converting to B&W. I am sure that it was a good break for you to get out of the hospital. |

The wall is black, but the image does seem a bit dark to me. Maybe I should try and play more with it to lighten the person. I had wanted to see the Vietnam Memorial as soon as it was built. I am a Vietnam veteran, and since I was a young artillery officer, I spent several months with an infantry company out in the rice patties and jungles, experiencing the real war. |
