Great idea, and patience to wait for one person. You captured him in perfect spot. Good idea to convert to mono. It does seem a bit soft, which distracts from a graphic image. |

Great capture of this special moment. The girls hair and the sparkle on the bubbles really make this image. Your final image is a good correction to make the image even better. |

You really have 2 possibilities here. The one you presented with the meters, which places him on a boat, or crop off his hands and meter, and then you would have more of a character study. The man had a lot of detail in his face which is good, and the background is also very nice. |

Tony, your shutter speed looks perfect to capture only some movement to make it look like we are there. The bridge really makes the image. |

The Oregon coast is really great, and there are nice ports and lots of state parks all along the coast for easy access. |

The red eye really catches my eye. I do agree with Lloyd that toning down the blue would help the image. |

Your choice of using monochrome is a good one. It simplifies the image to tell the story better. I like Stephen's crop, except that I would leave in the person walking away on the left side. The people on the right are just a distraction and make the image look too busy. |

Thanks for the comments. She was excited about every present! I had to use a flash because the room was not lighted very well. It was really meant as an image to give to the parents, but I decided to enter it here, to get your comments. |

I like what Marla did with the image. The original does seem rather gray. In the original, the foreground is too busy, and this is where the color image is better. The greens and grays have separation, and so are not as busy looking. Nice view of the mountains. |

Interesting view of this well photographed location. I do like the second image better, it has a lot more "snap" to it. Good job of converting to monochrome. |

You did get rid of the distracting background, and yet you left enough in the image to tell a story about what is happening. However, I do thing that you tight crop has lost too much detail. Conversion to monochrome was a good choice. It would be a good human interest image for PJ, but the loss of detail hurts it being used for pictorial. |

Very attractive young woman, and I like the pose. Of course she is modest, she is a mermaid. The effect makes her look very dreamy. Your black and white conversion is very good. I was a judge last weekend for the monochrome pictorial print salon for the PSA convention. There were a lot of prints that were very good, but did not have good blacks and whites, and so did not score well. |

Interesting image with the storm clouds and your processing looks good and natural. I disagree with Bill. I would crop off the brush in the foreground as it draws my eye from the clouds. |

Interesting image of the old car and trailer. The colors complement each other very well. I do agree with some of the others that it needs more punch. |

This must have been a really beautiful building in its time. Now, in decay your capture and processing are very good. Nitpicking, but I would tone down the blue in the right side. |

Very sharp and your correcting the horizontals is a good idea. I agree with Bill that the top is too bright. |

What a great find, and your capture and processing are great. You have lots of detail everywhere. The color in the front adds a great deal to the image, but it would be good without it. |

Sky is really great. Getting rid of the blue helps it. It is hard to believe that LR could correct all the distortions. Interesting and well done image. I do agree that darkening the left side would help the image. |

Thanks for all of the comments, and I really like what Bill has done with the image. The house really was this yellow, which the ranger said was the original color. It is a really nice park with lots of original items in the house. |
