7 May 18 Comment Welcome to the group. I really like the colors in the image. There does not seem to be a noise problem, especially for digital presentation. I would clone or stamp tool out the white cloud peak. It distracts from the rest of the image, especially since it is so white. May 17th
7 May 18 Comment You captured the mist very well, and the image has a nice look to it. I like the color version better. May 17th
7 May 18 Comment It is a nice image, and I am sure that they were pleased wit it. If you want to get more creative you could bring out more texture to the building. I used Topaz Adjust 5. May 17th
7 May 18 Comment Yes, I would crop some off the right. It is not needed space. The image is very sharp, and rotating it was a good idea. We like our portraits looking to the left. I am not a butterfly expert, but I am sure that this is not a black swallowtail. May 17th
7 May 18 Reply Yes, I like the tighter crop. As you can tell from the spanish moss and the plants in front, these knees were pretty small. The red color really made them stand out from the greens an greys. I did not see any more red ones on the boat trip. May 17th

32 May 18 Comment The light coming from below the face is not flattering. I like the idea of leaving the spectator in the image. It adds depth and interest. May 17th
32 May 18 Reply Thanks for what you did with the image. The lighting was very nice and her hair really stands out. I think that the shirt colors are too bright and takes away from the girl, so I think going monochrome helped. May 17th
32 May 18 Comment Really great composition with Jim leaning into his work. The image is very strong and sharp. Too bad about the bright building, but you can not darken white -- it stays white. I think that the image is strong enough that it would be accepted in a salon but not and HM or metal because the judges would look at the building and rule it out for that. May 17th
32 May 18 Comment Great exposure to have a white flower fading to a black background. What a lucky shot. I like the idea of rotating the image. May 17th
32 May 18 Comment I can see point of view of the image looking better if it is not corrected for distortion. You are looking up, and so would see some distortion. I think that the dome is competing for attention with the columns and shadows. It is not necessary, and I would crop off the dome. I also sharpened the image to bring out more detail in the stones. May 17th
32 May 18 Comment I think that it is an interesting image, and the tilt of the head adds to the image. The Gnome blends in too much with the bricks. I darkened the bricks and blurred them some. I don't think that an image has to be totally realistic to be good. May 17th
32 May 18 Comment It is a really sharp image, and I like that the bridge is also sharp. You have a nice lead-in with the road. I would have liked it better if the wagon had been further back, so that the wagon and bridge did not merge. I increased the contract and darkened the bridge and trees. I think that makes the wagon stand out more. It is a nice classic image, with a wagon coming out of a covered bridge. May 17th
32 May 18 Reply Yes, it does. It was in New Iberia, LA this year. Thanks for your improvements. May 14th

44 May 18 Comment The main or first image does show good contrast, with part of the rim being in sunlight and part in shade. The sky also looks very good. I like the second or "original" image much better. It also shows very good light levels from the shadows to the bright areas. Maybe I will try ON1, they have been sending me offers and are coming out with a revision next month. May 18th
44 May 18 Comment Nice sharp image, but it is too saturated for my liking. Also, the water appears too blue, maybe because of the saturation. Adding the birds is a good touch, and helps the image. May 18th
44 May 18 Comment Really nice image. Your HDR processing looks very natural. Very sharp with a lot of details in the rocks. It is a really pretty area. Just a thought, if you flip the image, then the tall rock area would help hold the eye in the image, and act more like a center of interest. May 18th
44 May 18 Comment A very impressive image. You have a good eye to have seen it. It is really sharp, good job being hand held at such a slow speed. You broke the rule of the image being centered, but in this case it is very effective. I think that you were correct in not having a blue case, as the neutral grey is very pleasing against the brown tones. I would not change a thing. May 18th
44 May 18 Comment What an interesting building. You must have an extreme amount of detail with 6 horizontals. Why did you decide to take 6 horizontals? I have taken some verticals and stitched them together for a wide landscape but never horizontals. I am trying to learn more. As to the image, the reds really stand out and you have a nice sky. I usually do not like straight on images, but this one is fine because of the interesting building. May 18th
