37 Jun 25 Comment Good positioning of the butterfly and flower in this image. I think you probably needed a higher ISO and a little more speed to freeze the action. F40 is an unusually high f-stop. Jun 18th

90 Jun 25 Comment Yes Ginny, these are tulips. I agree with Janet that the flowers are much too bright and not sharp. Another problem is that the background is very busy. You have to be careful with yellows as they are easy to overexpose. I will often underexpose them to allow for this. Also I normally use a fairly fast shutter for flowers outdoors because the wind can blow them and fool focus. Jun 18th
