Thanks for the comments. Unfortunately I am shooting at the shallowest depth of field that the lens allows. The only thing I could do would be to use Photoshop or Lightroom to blur the background. |

Nice calm, peaceful image Yosi. The colors in the sky contrast nicely with the water. |

Thanks for the suggestions Yamuni. I agree your crop helps a bit. I suppose I could try and blur the background in software, but unfortunately, I do not have the extra $10,000 for the Nikon f4 lens, nor can I carry the extra 6 pounds of weight. (grin) |

Hi Stephen, Topaz AI is still available with a new version 4 just released. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lmKMebxa3s please check out the video in the link listed above for some interesting comments on this version. Beware of using on images with people in them. I tested this myself and it works as he suggests. |

Great sharpness, color and detail, Kathy. Quite an unusual image and great perspective. You could also have two images here, one with the flag and a second down the corridor. |

Wonderful image with fantastic color, sharpness and detail. You certainly chose the right moment to snap this image. The shutter speed you chose shows all the detail including the slight blur that really shows motion. |

Impressive image, Peter. Very engaging with great sharpness and detail. The road makes a great leading line to the mountains and wonderful sky. |

Wow, what a lovely image Barbara, everything about it is wonderful. When I was there several years ago, I took a picture the morning after an extremely heavy rain and nobody believed I didn't saturate the color. Your perspective is spot on. You did a great job with the path. I agree with the others that making the light more yellow and softening a bit would be helpful. |

Good attempt under difficult conditions. Just for grins, I downloaded your image and took it into Photoshop. I opened the camera raw filter and chose select subject and opened up the shadows and used a touch of clarity. I'm not sure how well it came out with the small jpg. Trying it with the original image should help. |

No Janet, my original image was a little dark and I brightened a bit in Lightroom, but I was lucky enough to get the bird with nothing behind it.
Thanks for the comments. |
