37 Feb 24 Comment Nice detail and good crop in spite of some strange lighting. Look at the ladies right arm, it seems to have the right lighting nad the rest has quite a blue and red tint. I played just a bit to try and tame the color. Attached is my take. Another option would be to try this in black and white. There is enough detail for that to work. Feb 23rd
37 Feb 24 Comment Nice action shot Delain. Good color, sharpness and detail capturing the peak of the action. I don't know what program you use for editing, but if you could select the second runner and lighten her up just a bit, it would be great. Also, it is a good idea to use a pano format. If you have a little more image to the right, it help give them more room to run into. Feb 23rd
37 Feb 24 Comment Valiant effort in trying conditions Meredith. Very good color, brightness and sharpness. Because of the snow on the mountains which is the lightest and brightest part of the image, my eye keeps going there instead of the tree. I took the liberty of cropping in quite a bit to change the focus and cut out some of the mountain. I made some minor adjustments in camera raw. Let me know your thoughts. Feb 23rd
37 Feb 24 Comment Nice capture Peter. You managed to freeze the egret at a perfect time. I agree with Meredith's crop. It's always difficult to capture an all white bird without blowing out some detail. You seemed to handle this well. I would recommend toning down the whites and highlights a bit and increasing the texture and clarity just a bit. Feb 23rd
