37 Sep 23 Comment Cute expression Ricarda. I agree with the other comments.
I'm curious as to why you had such a low ISO. I would only use much under 200 unless I am shooting landscapes or other images that are not going to move.

37 Sep 23 Comment Nice idea, but I agree with the other comments. The colors in the man's face look a little off. Perhaps selecting the subjects and opening the shadows would help. Also you could allow some more room in front of the dog for it to move into. Just some thoughts if you want to try something like this again. Don't be afraid to increase the shutter speed in action photos. I shoot birds in flight up to 3,200 sec. Also with the software available today, and the mirrorless cameras don't be afraid to increase the ISO. I have shot images up to 25,600 ISO and ended up with sharp images. You have a good camera and great optics and you should be able to get away with settings like these. Sep 24th
37 Sep 23 Comment Peter, I like the idea of this image. It's a shame you couldn't have gotten the face a little sharper. While anyone on public property is fair game for having their picture taken, there are some folks who just don't like it. I do occasionally do street photography and am used to a variety of looks and comments from the folks who see me taking them, everything from requests for copies, to angry responses. I sometimes ask first and explain why I am taking them and ask approval. In places where folks don't speak English, I hold up the camera and point to them. Most of the time I get approval and sometimes folks who want to give you several poses. Sep 24th
37 Sep 23 Comment This image really exemplifies the thought of infinity. I like the idea, but, I think everything is a bit too small. You could bring the bird and the island in closer to the boat and crop in a little closer and still retain the feeling you are going for. Sep 24th
37 Sep 23 Comment Peter,
Thanks for reposting in a larger size. Wonderful image with great color and detail. Image makes me want to go there for a visit.
