I have to say that as much as I enjoy post-processing challenges, I find that, for me, Joe's enhancements detract a bit from the natural softness of nature. Shows what you can do and perhaps what you should not. Grain hitch-hiked in with the punch. |

As an old Southwesterner, I really light up with work like this. Splendid capture of the scene and double rainbow, which are so hard to avoid exclusion while mismanaging polarizers. Great work for your wall. |

Very interesting image, especially for someone who has been there. I think you did the best you could with the challenges posed. As for other suggestions Peter made, I agree with many. I do wish there was more activity under the overpass. |

It is a rather pleasing image with an impact from the lights effect. Personally I find the star splash a quick joy that fades fast and eventually begs to say, "OK, now what?" I'm not sure I wouldn't like it better with just plain lights. Fun to think about how to use the technique in other ways, though. |

John: It is a well captured image that I find difficulty liking for reasons hard to describe. I think the verticals in the background building are kind of disorienting to me because of problems with composition. Nice old building. |
