Thanks, Peter. Nice thing about hummingbirds: Their activity is feast or famine. They sit motionless for a moment, then are gone in a heartbeat. If lucky, you get "the moment." |

Thanks, Joe. I have a huge bird set but usually go for other things for this site. Appreciate the kudos. |

Very pleasing beast, Glenn. Has a little of the sharpening gig that we saw in the foliage scene above, but it is very enjoyable. I am sometimes asked why they are called "white" rhinos when they are pretty gray. it is because there faces have a broader aspect than the black rhino, and the word is actually not "white" but the Dutch word for "wide." Looks like the front horn has disappeared, hopefully not to meet some medicinal urge for virility as they are sometimes corrupted to. As above, a catch light would have been nice if obtainable. |

Another dramatic color and human extravaganza from you. I love the story behind it. On my screen a tiny bit more light on the boy's face would bring him forward, but it is a splendid image all in all. |

It is a fine image as it is, Sheldon. It is impressively sharp and deep. The sky looks a bit "over the top" (no pun initially intended) but has great drama. There is an artefact about 3/4 the way up the walkway than can be sacrificed, but all in all it is very pleasing and impressive. |

Beautiful scene. Image has some rather notable irregularities in sharpness, at times seeming too much and at others seeming not enough. This web site is sometimes a bit cranky in that respect. Or maybe it is my screen. Wonderfully engaging subject anyway. Though some would quibble about the fact that it is a "half and half" composition, it doesn't bother the right brain at all. |

A most enjoyable bruin. Well caught and presented. Like the pose and the attitude. Too bad about missing catch lights, but we can't always have it all, though sometimes the on-camera flash gets there. |

Great scene. Fun couple, nicely posed and captured. "Sherlock" might be pretty convincing, but "Watson" has apparently had a transgender experience. Thanks. Was amusing. |
