For those who have intimated that the saturation is a bit much should visit. No saturation enhancement used here. Perhaps a half-stop underexposed, but this is what the place looks like. Really! |

Thanks for the visit and the comment. Per your remark and another in our group, wishing for clouds in southern NV requires a lot of patience. This little slip of cloud was a rather rare gift. |

I agree. Besides giving a better idea of the full terrain. i redirects attention back into the center of the frame. Just a matter of taste. |

Peter: Thanks. Temperatures follow southwest desert profiles, and rapidly cool at night, but Nevada does not have quite the heights that are seen in AZ or Death Valley (despite the proximity). 100-110 F in the peak of summer, but dry and still comfortable for hikers (who must not mind sweating almost imperceptibly). I've never had a day there when I said it was too hot to get out of the car. And the rock formations (hinted at to the (R) of the frame) are magnificent. |

As a nature photographer, I do not require bird beauty to reflect homo sapiens' tastes. To me, this is a beautiful animal, though perhaps with a face only a mother could love, and it is excellently presented. |

Dramatic colors and characters. So exemplary of how India (and other cultures around there) can make beauty from simple scenic elements. Fowl play is a great addition. |

This is great. I love the guy and his scene. I have to believe the tent houses a latrine. Can't imagine any other use for it. Really appealing human interest image. Thanks. |

Excellent result with an HDR technique. Good that not much motion was at work in the scene. Not sure how much sky is required for the best presentation but it works well. Pleasing. |
