The lawn ornaments came down here with the snowbirds, perhaps. |

Thanks, Sheldon. There is almost always another shot in someone's eyes and that's what makes it art. |

Nicely caught, Ursula. The ornateness is well presented. Hopefully you had a great trip and saw lots of interesting things. |

Peter: Water is gold from the reflection of a nearby building. And the saturation was tweaked up slightly, just for impact, but not much. |

Excellent scene, Glenn. Composition and drama compares to Joe's street scene in this round, making us a really impressive nest of champions. The management of tone and exposure here is truly mind-boggling, and a standing ovation is in order. |

Welcome to our little family, Sheldon. No, not overdone at all. Fun scene very well caught. Were I to split hairs, I would suggest either stepping back or shifting to the left to catch more of the steam tail and background and reducing the background on the right, which adds little. But overall, very pleasing and with some pleasing drama. |

Spanner, eh, Peter? Learned something from that. We in this side of the pond would call it a wrench.
It is a really engaging image, and I love the emotions therein. Monochrome for the reasons stated is an excellent choice, as it focuses exactly on the message. Mom is not at all unsharp in my view. Good fun and good work. |

This is an outstanding image!! The whole composition and choice of monochrome is perfect. Most impressive is that the streetlight is saved with the long exposure and presented perfectly balanced in light control. Though the one in the rear might have been sacrificed, but it is a very minor distraction. Overall, it is a great image, appropriate for any wall. |

A remarkable image for such gentle simplicity. The exposure and composition are very well done. I confess to being a bit put off by the rocks and their reason for being there, but that is a minor objection -- after all, I assume John did not put them there. Nice eye, John. |
