Top all who commented, thanks. To Joe who cloned, that is not a twig but a bark shard, left in as part of a naturalist urge as well as to redirect the viewer back into the center of the image.
As for cloning, the easiest I have found is to loop around the subject and go to Edit>Fill>Content Aware and it will magically disappear with good result. |

Splendid bird in a very nice venue. Could hardy be better except possibly the bird's posterior's being a tad sharper. But one could hardy quibble about that unless he is someone who believes that there are few perfect images in the world. This is pretty doggone close. |

Classic site classically caught. The most intriguing technical point is how you so nicely avoided the collision of the two intrusive encroaching elements onto the central one. Good work!
And two forearms poised on elbows supporting a camera pressed against a face is a passable tripod. Nice souvenir. |

You've succeeded in capturing that very feeling. He is so perfect for that placement. High praise for your mind and eye. A couple of close subjects in the painting are even looking at him!!
Welcome to the group. Looking forward to more from you. |

Nice drama and humanism here, Peter. Subjecting it to a person preference critique seems unfortunate, but I have to say that I would be drawn into the action more if about a third of the left side were sacrificed. Would have brought the boy to a bigger representation without a loss of intrigue. There would be plenty of water left. Great eye, Peter. |

Remarkable presentation of one of America's iconic places and times of day. It is a very lovely scene caught well. I could only have hoped that the sky had been more sharply included. I don't think it would have distracted from the tufas. Did NIK run off with it? Notwithstanding, it has great mood and feeling. |

Truly remarkable monochrome, John. I love your habit of making it so human each month. Great composition, sharpness, and appeal. |
