Good luck, Dolores. Rule for myself: never, ever photograph anything that might complain about the result. Executive rule: NO WEDDINGS!! |

Ursula: It is a gem as it is. But since you invite optimizing strategies, shooting without including the falls would have been a trace better, as it draws the eye away from the mug shot. And including the whole left eye would also be nice. But you have done great justice to the face as it is, which must be sharp above all else. If only it was backed by what is just above the falls..... Great shot anyway. Thanks. |

Excellent in all aspects. Personally, I have a little problem with this bird, often seen on the roadside around here. The problem is, someone stated that this bird looks like Marv Albert. Can't shake it loose from my head.
But except that perhaps the darker elements of the wings could be detailed a bit more, it is exceptional. |

Kim: The subject is familiar and it is interesting to see it in the context of its actual grounds, what one never sees. Still, a closer view would, for me, be more fascinating. The various elements rather compete for attention. |

Very interesting subject. I can only say that to bisect one eye might be critiqued negatively, but it does very clearly present the subject and asks one to imagine what a live model would be like in similar lighting. Thanks. |

Great good luck to get that close and come away with such a fine nature image. Well lit and has a very true to life feel. Not often do we get this kind of opportunity with a raptor. |

John: I like this image and the feel it imparts. The composition is superb and the whole depth is clear. There is a real sense of motion even without it. And the lone conductor makes it complete. |
