Taking into account the location this was taken then maybe the title should be 'here comes the sun' |

I think you have captured this well as the bird approaches the flower head. Great colour and the subject is perfectly sharp. I like the fack you have got the wings on the downbeat. |

A great moment when the young fledglings are waiting to be fed. I can imagine the sound that they are creating to get attention. The birds are nice and sharp. I wonder if it might be possible to tone down some of the branches or maybe crop the image to more of a square. |

Great expressions of concentration on the subjects and maybe a touch of apprehension before there performance. It tells us more than a more portrait picture of them posing for the camera. |

I have always been fascinated by night time pictures of moving lights. I like this one, it gives the impression to me of cars on a slot car track with the freeway almost forming an oval. I also like the inclusion of the distant buildings they give us a location, and add a bit of realism. |

I like this. The child amongst the coloured material looking towards the camera. If you have removed some unwanted traffic from the background you have made a good job of it.
Considering the contrast between the stall and the background you have handled it well. |

I like the moment that you have captured. The ripples in the water after the heron has struck tell the story. Then we have a nice reflection. Maybe it might help if the light area along the top edge was cropped, just a thought. |

I can see where your title comes from with the pattern created by the building and the tiny figures scurrying about below. You have positioned yourself well and made an excellent composition. It certainly gives a good impression and feel of space. Monochrome was the only way to present this scene. |

A very different approach to a wheel to the previous picture by Mel. This shows all the feel of the spinning wheel in a way that our eyes cannot see. You have achieved you aim with the movement. The colour is great with the bonus of a blue sky and some light cloud, which seems to add to the feeling of motion. |

An interesting and different viewpoint from which to photograph a Ferris wheel. I like the way the handrail leads the eye to the centre of the wheel. The person adds greatly to the composition. I feel that your choice of monochrome was spot on. |

Oh for the open road. I can imagine the pleasure they must have in riding those beautiful and mainly quiet roads. I think you hit the shutter just right. I wish I was with them. |

Another of your excellent travel pictures that shows the results available when using a smartphone. Well composed and as sharp as could be. A magnificent building that needs to be photographed. |
