17 Jul 24 Comment A well caught moment during your Workshop. Well exposed and neatly cropped. Jul 12th
17 Jul 24 Comment It does what it says in the title. Those ominous clouds tell the story. Do we need more detail in the land, I am not sure. It could be worth experimenting to see. converting to mono and adding a bit of contrast is another possible variation. Jul 12th
17 Jul 24 Comment A pleasant farming scene set against the mountains.I like the inclusion of the sprinklers and the work you have done to highlight the spray of the water, it adds a bit of action. Jul 12th
17 Jul 24 Comment A fabulous place to chill out. Lots going on for the eye to wander over. The building makes a good frame to the composition. I agree to some degree with the suggestion to crop the sky a bit. I also wonder if lightening the group of 3 in the foreground slightly might help. too much and it will look wrong. Jul 12th
17 Jul 24 Comment I like the colours of this bird, they make a dramatic picture. I would agree with Sheldon about a crop from the right. It is sharp and in a good pose. The background is well controlled. My major question is the slight colour cast on the perch, it looks a touch magenta. Jul 12th
17 Jul 24 Reply Until you mentioned it I had never noticed the drain, and it is somewhere I have visited a number of times over many years. Jul 12th

19 Jul 24 Comment I love the way you have done this. The movement of the flock being overseen by the sheep on the right. The choice of monochrome also suits the subject. good imagination and technique. Jul 13th
19 Jul 24 Comment I cannot even juggle with a couple of balls, so seeing someone juggle with six burning sticks is very impressive. He is obviously keeping a keen eye on what is going on.I think the colour is great as is the composition. The inclusion of the sign tells us where he is. Jul 13th
19 Jul 24 Comment I really like the way you have done this picture. When you tell us the story it makes a lot of sense. The blurring of the rest of the people really makes your son stand out. Well done. Jul 13th
19 Jul 24 Comment I like flowing water pictures with a slow shutter speed. I also like the way the water swirls in the foreground. well composed. I like the touch of green in the background. Jul 13th
19 Jul 24 Comment The sun is neatly hidden behind the appealing rock formation. Some nice colour in the sky. I appreciate that you have tried to keep all of the rock reflection, but I wonder if a crop from the base might improve the composition. Jul 13th
19 Jul 24 Comment Yet another of your excellent 'Early morning' series. The tomatoes still on the vine is a neat way of picturing them, and the fact the vine is at the bottom works well for me. The monochrome of course gives the tomatoes a bit of a disguise as we are used to the bright red. I do get the impression that the picture is a touch soft, but that of course may have been deliberate. Jul 13th
19 Jul 24 Comment Thanks for the suggestion about the green. I have tried a mono conversion and that works. Jul 13th
