Up at the right time of day for this one. Great sunrise colour and I like the silhouette of the treeline. |

What a clever bit of engineering. Thanks for the link to see it in action. The fact you got a small boat to come in and pose for you gives a scale to the scene. It is maybe a bit tight within the frame, but it does tell the story. |

An interesting composition. I like the way you have used the arch to frame the distant view. What are these buildings ? Nothing distracts my eye. I love the colours. |

I like the way you have presented this picture. The lone heron looking out at the vast ocean. For me it is not over the top and achieves your goal. |

I like the pose you have captured. The eyes are nice and sharp, as is the beak, they are the crucial points. Yes the flowers in the background are a slight distraction. But well done. |

Right time, right place. The evening light is superb across the land with all the undulations being picked out with light and shadow. The inclusion of the buildings top and bottom not only balances the scene but gives a sense of scale. |

It was a typical English summers day, very warm but overcast hence the bland sky. I have used sky replacement on some pictures, but I will now only use my own sky files, which I am slowly building up.
As for saturation I do add a small amount in Camera Raw. This picture was enhanced using the Topaz Detail filter. |

I think I took 3 shots but the other two were a bit off in composition. |

It just shows that you do not need to travel far to get a great picture. I think you have caught this at just the right moment, the food in the beak tells us what is going on. The bird is sharp. I do wonder though if the whole picture could do with a slight reduction in brightness. |

What an interesting building, I just had to Google it. You have captured the essence of the building with this small section and angle of view. The late afternoon light is perfect for the lighting of the building. |

A type of picture that I admire but as yet I have not attempted. I appreciate all the effort that you put into this and the result is excellent. The stars and the foreground all fits well. Very well done. |

A wonderful field full of yellow topped with a touch of blue sky. Then you add in 2 people which gives us added interest for our eyes and a sense of scale. Getting them to wear red was a good idea. |

A bad hair day that is for certain. Your menagerie certainly yields some great pictures and this is up there with your best.I like the way you have presented this portrait of Rudolph. I would concur with Norm over the eyes, this close the autofocus is going to pick up the nose which means that is the sharpest point. Monochrome is great for this portrait. |
