17 Jan 21 Comment A sunset worth going for. Great colour and a good composition. I like that the red in the lighthouse lamp complements the setting sun. I would liked to have seen the lighthouse a touch lighter. Jan 15th
17 Jan 21 Comment Definitely a picture of two halves. The sunflowers are nice and bright giving a cheerful feel to the picture. Then the cattle and the landscape come across a little bit darker and cooler in colour. This gives more impact to the flowers.I agree about a crop at the top. Jan 15th
17 Jan 21 Comment An interesting presentation of the image and it works, by giving the image a casual feel. Maybe he is contemplating over whether to ascend the stairs and take the plunge. Monochrome suits this well. Jan 15th
17 Jan 21 Comment I like the contrast between man and nature. Yes if the wires were a bit more obvious it would help.Maybe the softness of the foreground is due to slight movement of the grasses due to a breeze. I like the composition as it is but then I like to give my subjects a bit of space as well as liking clouds.
Your slight vignette is just right ie it is not obvious until you mention it.

17 Jan 21 Comment This appeals to as it is. I like the 'picture' in the frame. The brickwork is nice and clear, it could easily have been a lot darker and not so effective. The slight offset rather than a perfect framing makes it more dynamic. Jan 15th

19 Jan 21 Comment This really appeals to me. It is simple and I like the way you have processed it. As Stan says we see many close ups of flower heads but this one is different. Jan 16th
19 Jan 21 Comment I suspect that with an 80mm focal length a lot of cropping was needed. I like the pose of the bird in amongst the berries. Vignettes have a place and I often use them on mono images, a hang over from my darkroom days, but they are better if they are subtle. Jan 15th
19 Jan 21 Comment A peaceful scene well captured. I like the reflections in the almost still waters, just a bit of movement giving that bit of a shimmy to the trees. Shame about the inevitable motor vehicle on the left, not sure what you could do about it as cropping is not an option. Jan 15th
19 Jan 21 Comment Brilliant. A great portrait of Maverick. The work you have carried out is well worth the effort. Jan 15th
