A fabulous character well composed and taken. The use of monochrome suits the subject. Cowboys were always black and white when as a kid I watched them on the television. That beard is something else. Technically it is spot on,sharp well exposed and composed. |

Monochrome is the only way with a subject such as this. It helps give the image a feeling of strength, it shows the design aspects of the engineering and turns it into an art form. I like the touch of graffiti, that is made less prominent in monochrome. |

You aimed to get the sparks and you got them. They are the icing on the cake. I like the expression of concentration, the muscles tensed in the arm as the hammer strikes. Just enough detail in the background to set the scene. |

A very nice picture of the first snow fall. The snow on the trees accentuates the bare branches. I like the menacing sky top left. |

I like the right hand side of the picture, but I feel we have too much space to the left. The spot situation seems quite bad and I agree with Norm about the way to clean it up, having said that with so many spots you would have to be careful were the tool was taking its sample as you could replace one spot with another. |

This picture sums up for me my problem with autumnal scenes. The colours are fabulous, but often for me that is all I see. This picture has the addition of the little bit of land in the beautifully reflection coloured water. I might be inclined to take a crop from the top to eliminate the sky, just my personal choice. |

A nice portrait of the Loon. I like the head position and the tight crop, also the reflection of the bird in the slightly disturbed water. |

What an unusual picture to get. I like the crop and the way the doves have a beady eye on you, I would imagine the adult would be watching as well. It just shows what you can take in your own backyard. |
