17 Oct 20 Comment An excellent picture. The button was pressed at the right moment. Legs outstretched for braking and wings folding in. You have the bonus of a good reflection as well. Oct 16th
17 Oct 20 Comment One could fall asleep trying to count them. From the description of the train I would imagine that the windows were tinted, that would account for the tone of the picture The cropped shape suits the scene. Did you see the concrete cows in a field on that route. Oct 16th
17 Oct 20 Comment The low shooting position has given power and dignity to these magnificent horses. I like the way you have captured them, with the one looking at you. Not too sure that I like the rear one going a touch soft. Oct 16th
17 Oct 20 Comment As Joe says a complete contrast to Dicks Bird of Paradise. I like the softness and the subtle shades. It tells the story of the last days of summer as the flowers fade away into autumn.I like the fact we have a few blooms stillhanging on to their colour. Oct 16th
17 Oct 20 Comment Fantastic colours and shapes. It all goes together well. I have seen these plants before but never in such vivid colours I have seen greens and reds but never the blue. The background makes the flower really stand out. Oct 16th
17 Oct 20 Comment The seeing eye. Well done in spotting the face in the stump. The texture of the wood is superb and that face just makes it. Oct 16th
17 Oct 20 Comment Hi thanks for all your comments, it was an experiment and I welcome your views and suggestions. Oct 16th

19 Oct 20 Comment You have hit the button at the perfect moment. The action is great and the framing is as well. You have got all the detail in the white of the bird. all is sharp in the right places. Oct 18th
19 Oct 20 Comment What a great little portrait. I would agree about the levelling and maybe a crop from the right. But the subject is sharp and in an interesting pose. The background is well controlled. Birds do not need to be exotic to create good pictures. Oct 18th
19 Oct 20 Comment One of those occasions that you have to take a picture. The colours and the water are the attraction. I feel that we have a little too much foliage at the top even though the colours are attractive. Often I find at this time of year their is too much colour and selecting a viewpoint can be difficult. Oct 18th
19 Oct 20 Comment A stunning landscape made all the more interesting with the inclusion of the reflection. The fact that the water is slightly disturbed gives a nicer feel to the reflection than it would if it was dead calm. One can clearly see how this rock got its name.I like the layer effect of the composition. Oct 18th
19 Oct 20 Comment A great little portrait of the dove at the nest. I appreciate that you have had to crop the original and that a bit of work has been done to show the bird a lot clearer. As others have said a crop to remove the bright area bottom right and the evidence of previous pruning creating an almost square image might help. Oct 18th
