Just about got it spot on with this one. Sharp bird, great pose and composition and a perfect background. |

Not something you would like to meet on a dark night. I like the idea of including the museum in the image its architecture gives the scene a science fiction feel.Yo include all of the legs would have been nice, but you may of had to cut out some distractions. The mist adds to the scene. |

I love all the detail in this picture and it tells the story of Max. I do however like the cropped image that Joe has added, even if a lot of the story is cut out. Monochrome was the only way to do this. I hope he has a few Coventry made pocket watches in his collection, I volunteer at a local museum dedicated to the industry in my home town. |

A well caught moment, that look in the birds eye kind of says it all about what to do next. I like the close crop, and the sharpness, the background does not bother me. |

I like the story you are telling and the choice of monochrome helps. Just to add a bit of motion to the image how about setting on of the swings in action before getting the picture. I like the pool of water at the bottom. I think the position you took the image from is right. |

This reply covers a few of the comments. I appreciate that the locomotive is dark, it is dark green in colour. I had not noticed the cable spanning the whole image. I purposely composed the scene to include the lighthouse as it is so much a part of the location. My biggest bug is that in the mono version the smoke and steam is lost against the cloud. |

I like this the way it is, I do not feel the need to crop. The eye is led into the scene by the path, the bench a good place to rest. The hazy light is just fine. |

I like the way you have captured the police car, the feeling of motion from the panning really works. I also would like to see a crop from the top. |

I would agree with the crop from the right and I think you decision to turn it to mono was a good one. Overall the image is a touch on the dark side, a little more light would give a better idea of what is being discarded. |

Often our black page means images with black backgrounds need a stroke round the edge to stop them blending into the page. This image works as it is, although I agree with Stan that you could do with a bit more space at the top. The backlighting has really made the details stand out. Well taken. |

An interesting location for a portrait, with the addition of the dog to add more interest. Not sure on the positioning of the legs, it looks a touch uncomfortable and gives me the impression that she could unbalance into the water. Having said that it is well exposed, details in the blacks |

I like this picture. The face peering from the foliage. As Stan says the rule breaking crop works. For me I would leave it as it is. |
