A stunning flower the colour really makes this one grab the eye. Good sharp detail in the petals and stamen. Maybe a touch of minor photoshop gardening could be carried out on the background, but I like it. |

Having photographed a few amateur theatrical productions in the past I can fully appreciate the circumstances in which you took this picture.I like the fact you have isolated the one character and the dark background helps to throw the figure forward, helped by our black page.We have detail in the light tones, a good pose and expression. |

The right character in the right place. Then you have treated to a monochrome conversion, absolutely the right thing to do, it removes the distraction of colour in the telling of the story. |

The plant stands out well from the background. All the important detail is nice and sharp with detail in the bright areas. Square suits the subject. |

This picture has a real winter feel to it. You get cold just looking at it.I find the softness of the image adds to the sense of winter. |

Thank you for all your comments. Sometimes the things that appeal to me are a bit like Marmite. You love it or hate it. |

What a moment to hit the button. I can feel the pain. Everything in the frame tells the story. The power of the boxers, the expressions on the spectators and the sweat and toil. I hate the 'sport' but I love the picture. |

I love images like this. The viewer has to think what is going on, but it is the shapes and the colours that make it. Maybe you could do with something to break up the large central area of water. Maybe just a floating leaf, or is it just me. |

I rather like these starry night type of photographs ,maybe one day I will be far enough away from light pollution on a clear night to attempt to take one. I like the idea and the composition. I find the shadows of the foreground rocks a little odd.I also feel that the 'noise' that covers the image is a little degrading of the celestial spectacle. But I am no expert on these types of image. All credit to trying it. |

What an amazing building. I cannot imagine what it must be like to be inside it. All those curves and twists. I appreciate what is being said about the street lamp and trees. What would this look like with one of your dramatic mono conversions, I am sure you must have tried it. |

I like the way you have treated this portrait of Atticus. A fine looking specimen I must say. As Norm says the eyes make the photo. |

Thank you for the comments. Maybe I should have given a little more detail as to what the subject is. It was taken at a museum of mechanical excavators, and is a decaying part of some abandoned plant awaiting possible restoration. The oval area is recessed into the pink coloured plate, while the bolt head is seen through a hole in the plate. |
