A very imaginitive and well done image. Definitely better than the standard shot one would see of the Arch. |

I like to see birds and animals in their environment, to me it is more interesting than being too close. On this occasion I have to agree with Joe and his crop, as the amount of environment is maybe a little too great. |

I think you have got the smoke about right, it allows us to concentrate on the drummer boy but also set the scene with a glimpse of the background battle.Well done. |

One of those wonderful landscapes enhanced by a touch of the white stuff. As a friend of mine was apt to say 'Snow is great. In pictures.'I like the use of the branches to fill the sky, and the remains of the snow in the foreground. |

I love the sharpness and the fact that those eyes grab my attention. I do kind of agree a bit with Dick on the sharpness in female portraits. |

Thanks for all your comments. I did try a bit of blur but I did not like it. The cut off track I think I can do something with that, the yellow object is actually the original cardboard box that the set came in. As for the tattiness or should that be patina, I kind of like it. |

I like this. It goes against convention by having a light foreground leading to a dark background, but it works because of the well illuminated tree. |

An excellent portrait of the camel herder. Well posed and very sharp. That stare really grabs my attention. I like the colours and textures.I have to agree with others about the background, but in a situation like that you have to take what is there. |

Your use of HDR on this has been well controlled. As you say it is very often over done. The ravages of time have given us lots of textures and tones to what would have been pretty plain walls and ceiling. |

I like it just the way it is.That bit of work you have done on the image has made a colourful representation of the ball. Well seen and taken given the weather and the use of a phone camera. |

I like the idea of the painterly treatment and I like your crop from the original. I do think however that the treatment has made the horses face look a little odd particularly on the left as you look at it. I think Stans idea would help. |

Thank you for your comments. When the image is enlarged the 'R' is actually a '2', but I can see why you think it is an 'R'. |
